Your Dashboard

Below is the process that GDC Portal guides you through. Each party has specific tasks to complete. Some steps are completed together, while others are individual and available only on each person’s private dashboard. The portal will guide you to the next step as each required step is completed. For your convenience, the other party’s steps noted as Journey are shown in the gray area so that you can understand the overall process. However, you do not have access to those sections.

Explanation

Click on each tab below to read a detailed explanation for that section of the portal process.

Petitioner's Documents

Joint Preliminary Form is Step 1: The Joint Preliminary Form is the first step in this process.

The 1st section of this questionnaire will have each of you separately input your own personal information. These questions request basic info such as your name and address and phone number.

The 2nd section of the Joint Preliminary form can be filled out by one or both of you. Once completed, the form must be approved by both of you with signatures before submitting. Until approved by both of you, the 2nd section will remain editable by either Party.

Individual Declaration Form is Step 2: Each party must complete their own Individual Declaration form separately. During this stage, you will list community property and separate property assets, debts, as well as your monthly income and expenses. Both the Petitioner and the Respondent must complete this step on their own before the process can move to the next step.

Petitioner's Proof of Service is Step 3: This step will be completed after the Joint Petition for divorce has been filed with the court and you have served the Respondent with your declaration court forms (FL142 & FL150.) Once the service of your declarations has been completed, you will log back onto the portal to complete Step 3 which is to enter in the details of how your spouse was served.

Marital Settlement Agreement (MSA) Builder is Step 4: The MSA Builder is the final step on the GDC portal. This is the stage where both parties will contribute to the creation of a custom MSA based on everything you've both agreed to. The MSA Builder is a jointly completed and jointly submitted form and is available for you both to work on from your individual dashboards. The MSA builder agreement will remain openly editable by both Parties until both have signed and submitted their agreement.
