State Sponsored Child Support Calculator

In California, whenever a divorce involves children, the Court requires a child support guideline calculation to be submitted. This calculation gives the Court an objective reference point for review alongside your agreement.

It is not required that divorcing Parents conform to the child support calculation guidelines. You are free to establish your own agreed upon child support amounts.

Though the two of you will reach your own agreement about child support, the Court still requires this calculation be submitted at judgment as part of the divorce process.

When you are working together in the MSA Builder, you will be asked to enter both the result of your child support calculation, and your agreed upon amounts as well. Please save the completed child support calculation as a PDF and keep it accessible. Later, when you begin preparing your Judgment packet, you will need to print this calculation and attach it to your Judgment paperwork before submitting it to the Court.
